Questions, bugs and feature requests — all welcome.
Email: [email protected] — the fastest way to reach us. Please include your app version and device, both shown in the app under Settings → About.
Telegram: t.me/panura_player — release news and help from other users.
From inside the app: Settings → Support → Report an issue. A page that will not play can also be reported from the browser's menu, which sends us the address so we can reproduce it.
Some sites hand out streams that only work with the exact headers the page used, and a few change those on every visit. Reload the page and try again first. If it still fails, report the page from the browser menu — the report carries the address, which is what lets us add a rule for that site. Rules reach the app within a few hours, with no update needed.
Detection needs the player to actually start loading. Press play on the site's own player and give it a second. If nothing appears, check that you are not on a blocked platform — YouTube and its domains are deliberately excluded.
Your phone and the TV have to be on the same network, and the first cast asks for local network permission. If you declined it, iOS will not ask again: grant it under iOS Settings → Panura → Local Network. Chromecast devices only appear once discovery is running, which starts when you pick Chromecast on the “Play on TV” screen.
The tab reads your photo library, so it needs photo access — iOS Settings → Panura → Photos. Videos stored in iCloud rather than on the device are downloaded before they play, which can take a moment on a slow connection.
All of that is adjustable under Settings → Subtitles, including the character encoding, which is what to change if a non-English subtitle file shows as garbled characters.
Turn on background play under Settings → Playback. It is off by default because most people want video to pause when the screen goes dark.
The three things that let us fix something quickly are the app version, what you did, and what happened instead. For a playback problem, the page address matters more than anything else. Settings → Detection → Diagnostics records every media URL a page requested and why each was kept or filtered; if you can, turn it on, reproduce the problem, and send us what it shows.
